Qualified Chef Employment

The College currently seeks an enthusiastic, welcoming and proactive Qualified Chef to assist our Pantry Convenor with the day to day running of the Pantry. The role is required Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 2:30pm (with some flexibility). No weekends required!

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Undertake preparation, cooking and presentation of a range of hot and cold food items for large numbers daily and in advance
  • Assist the Convenor in the management of the day-to-day operation of the Pantry including menu planning and costing, ordering of stock and supervision of volunteers.
  • Ensure the daily cleaning and tidying of Pantry area after service times and before close of day
  • Undertake cash register operation at service times when required
  • Willingness to assist with barista work if required (training provided)
  • All staff are required to hold a current Working With Children Check (blue card) before commencing at the College.
